Terms of service
Last updated: 23 September 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") set out the terms on which you may use our website lawlessclothing.co.uk (the "Site") and buy products from us. Please read them carefully before placing an order. By placing an order, you agree to these Terms.
If you are a consumer, you have legal rights in relation to products that are faulty or not as described. Nothing in these Terms affects your legal rights. Advice about your legal rights is available from Citizens Advice (citizensadvice.org.uk).
1. About us
The Site is operated by Lawless Clothing Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales.
- Company number: 16162027
- Registered office and trading address: Unit K1, Bryn Business Centre, Bryn Lane, Wrexham, LL13 9UT, United Kingdom
- Email: hello@lawlessclothing.co.uk
We are not currently registered for VAT.
In these Terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Lawless Clothing Ltd, and "you" and "your" mean the person using the Site or placing an order.
2. Our other policies
These Terms should be read together with our:
- Privacy Policy, which explains how we use your personal information;
- Refund Policy, which explains how to return items; and
- Shipping Policy, which gives further delivery information.
If anything in those policies conflicts with these Terms, these Terms apply.
3. Who can buy from us
You must be at least 18 years old to place an order. Our products are sold to consumers for personal use. We may refuse or limit orders that appear to be placed by resellers or for commercial resale.
4. Our products
- Made to order: all our products are made to order once you place your order. This does not affect your right to cancel (see section 10).
- Images and colours: we try to show our products as accurately as possible. However, colours on screen vary between devices, and slight variations in colour, print placement and sizing can occur because each item is made individually. Our products will still match their description.
- Sizing: please check our size guides before ordering.
- Availability: we may withdraw or change products on the Site at any time. This does not affect orders we have already accepted.
5. How the contract is formed
- When you place an order, you will receive an email confirming that we have received your order. This does not mean we have accepted it.
- Our acceptance of your order takes place when we email you to confirm it has been dispatched. At that point, a contract is formed between you and us.
- We may decline an order before dispatch. For example, this may happen if there has been a pricing error, if we cannot make the product, or if we suspect fraud. If we decline your order, we will tell you and refund any payment in full.
- You can cancel your order at any time before it is dispatched by emailing hello@lawlessclothing.co.uk with your order number. We will refund you in full. You also have a legal right to cancel after delivery (see section 10).
6. Prices and payment
- Prices: the price of each product is shown on the Site. The total price, including any delivery charges, is shown at checkout before you pay. As we are not VAT registered, no VAT is added to our prices.
- Currency: you can pay in your local currency. Prices in other currencies are converted from pounds sterling (GBP) at the rate shown at checkout. Your bank or card provider may charge its own fees for payments in a foreign currency.
- Price changes: our prices may change from time to time, but changes will not affect orders you have already placed. You pay the price shown when you placed your order.
- Pricing errors: if we discover an obvious error in the price of a product you have ordered, we will contact you before dispatch. You can then either buy the product at the correct price or cancel your order for a full refund.
- Payment: we accept payment by card through Shopify Payments, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Payment is taken when you place your order.
7. Discount codes
From time to time, we may offer discount codes. Unless we say otherwise:
- only one discount code can be used per order;
- discount codes cannot be exchanged for cash or applied to orders already placed;
- discount codes are valid only until the expiry date stated; and
- we may withdraw a discount code at any time, but this will not affect orders already placed using it.
If you return items bought with a discount, your refund will be the amount you actually paid.
8. Pre-orders
If we offer an item on pre-order, the product page will show an estimated dispatch date. Payment is taken when you place your pre-order. If there is a delay, we will let you know. You can cancel a pre-order for a full refund at any time before it is dispatched.
9. Delivery
Delivery areas and times
| Destination | Delivery cost | Estimated delivery time (after dispatch) |
|---|---|---|
| UK mainland | Free | 2–3 days (Royal Mail Tracked 48) |
| Rest of UK (e.g. Highlands, islands, Northern Ireland) | Shown at checkout | 5–10 days |
| European Union | Shown at checkout | 5–10 days |
| United States and Australia | Shown at checkout | 7–14 days |
Because our products are made to order, please allow 7–10 days for your order to be made before it is dispatched. Delivery times are estimates. We will always aim to deliver within the estimated time, and in any event within 30 days of your order unless we agree otherwise with you.
We normally use Royal Mail, but we may use Evri or DPD. We will send you tracking details when your order is dispatched.
Delays
If your order is delayed, we will contact you. If we fail to deliver within 30 days (or any delivery date we have agreed with you), you may be entitled to cancel your order and receive a full refund.
Risk and ownership
Your order is our responsibility until it is delivered to the address you gave us. You own the products once we have received payment in full.
International orders: import duties and taxes
Orders delivered outside the UK may be subject to import duties, taxes (such as VAT or GST) and handling fees charged by the destination country or the courier. These charges are the customer's responsibility, are not included in our prices, and are usually collected on delivery. We have no control over these charges, so please check with your local customs office before ordering. If you refuse to pay them and the parcel is returned to us, we will refund the price of your products minus the delivery and return costs we have been charged.
10. Your right to cancel (change of mind)
If you are a consumer, you have the right to cancel your contract within 14 days of the day you (or someone you nominate) receive your order, without giving any reason. This right applies to our made-to-order products because they are standard designs and sizes, not personalised.
How to cancel: tell us clearly within the 14-day period by emailing hello@lawlessclothing.co.uk with your order number and the items you wish to return. You can use the model cancellation form at the end of these Terms, but you do not have to.
Returning the items: you must send the items back to us within 14 days of telling us you are cancelling, to:
Lawless Clothing Ltd, Unit K1, Bryn Business Centre, Bryn Lane, Wrexham, LL13 9UT, United Kingdom.
Return postage: you arrange the return yourself using a tracked service from Royal Mail, Evri or DPD. We will reimburse your return postage when we process your refund, up to the reasonable cost of a standard tracked service, so please keep your proof of postage. Items are your responsibility until they reach us.
Your refund: we will refund the price you paid for the items, plus your return postage as above. We will also refund the cost of standard delivery, if you paid for it. If you chose a more expensive delivery option, we will only refund the cost of our cheapest standard delivery option. We will refund you within 14 days of receiving the items back, or of you providing proof that you have sent them back, if that is earlier. Refunds are made to your original payment method.
Condition of returned items: you may handle and try on items as you would in a shop. If items are returned worn, washed, damaged or with tags removed, we may reduce your refund to reflect any reduction in their value.
Exchanges: if you would prefer to exchange an item for a different size or colour, please see our Refund Policy.
11. Faulty or incorrect items
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, products must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If an item is faulty or not as described:
- within 30 days of delivery, you are entitled to a full refund;
- within 6 months of delivery, if we cannot repair or replace the item, or a repair or replacement does not fix the problem, you are entitled to a full refund in most cases; and
- after 6 months, if the item cannot be repaired or replaced, you may be entitled to some money back.
Please contact us at hello@lawlessclothing.co.uk with your order number, a description of the problem and a photo if possible. We will cover the cost of returning faulty or incorrect items. This summary does not affect your full legal rights.
12. Our responsibility to you
- We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these Terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. Loss or damage is foreseeable if it is obvious that it will happen, or if both you and we knew it might happen when the contract was made.
- We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable.
- We supply our products for domestic and private use only. We are not liable for any loss of profit, loss of business or business interruption.
- We do not exclude or limit our liability in any way where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and for breach of your legal rights in relation to the products.
13. Using our Site
- We aim to keep the Site available and its information accurate, but we do not guarantee that it will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free. We may suspend or change the Site, for example for maintenance.
- You must not misuse the Site. This includes introducing viruses or other harmful code, trying to gain unauthorised access to the Site or its systems, using automated tools to scrape or copy the Site, or using the Site for any unlawful, fraudulent or harmful purpose.
- Accounts: if you create an account, you must give accurate information and keep your login details confidential. You are responsible for activity on your account unless it results from our failure to keep it secure. Please tell us straight away if you think your account has been misused. We may suspend or close an account that is used in breach of these Terms.
14. Intellectual property
All content on the Site belongs to us or our licensors, including our designs, logos, images, text and graphics. You may view and share it for personal, non-commercial use. You must not copy, reproduce, sell or use it for any commercial purpose without our written permission.
15. Reviews and other content you submit
If you submit a product review (through our review provider, Judge.me), photos or other content:
- you confirm that it is your honest opinion, based on your genuine experience, and that you own the rights to any photos you upload;
- your content must not be unlawful, offensive, defamatory, misleading or infringe anyone else's rights;
- you give us a free, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to display, reproduce and share your review and photos on our Site, social media and marketing materials, credited using the name you provided; and
- we may remove content that breaks these rules, but we will not remove or hide genuine reviews simply because they are negative.
16. Links to other websites
The Site may link to other websites and social media platforms. We have no control over them and are not responsible for their content, products or privacy practices.
17. Complaints
If you have a problem, please email us at hello@lawlessclothing.co.uk. We aim to respond within 5 working days and to resolve complaints as quickly as possible. If you are not happy with our response, you can get free advice from the Citizens Advice consumer helpline on 0808 223 1133.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the law or how we run our business. The Terms that apply to your order are the ones on the Site when you placed it. The latest version will always be on this page, with the "Last updated" date at the top.
19. Other important terms
- Events outside our control: we are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as severe weather, strikes or carrier disruption. If this happens, we will contact you as soon as possible. If there is a significant delay, you can cancel your order for a full refund.
- Transfer: we may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms to another organisation, but this will not affect your rights.
- Third parties: this contract is between you and us. No other person has any rights to enforce any of its terms.
- Severability: if a court finds part of these Terms unlawful or unenforceable, the rest will continue in force.
- Waiver: if we delay enforcing these Terms, we can still enforce them later.
20. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
If you live outside the UK, you will also benefit from any mandatory consumer protection laws of the country where you live.
